Place the milk of your choice, hemp hearts, shredded coconut, oil of your choice, sweetener, vanilla, and cardamom in a medium-sized saucepan. Heat on medium stirring frequently until the porridge reaches a light simmer.
Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes, or until hemp hearts soften. If the mixture gets too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water.
Remove from the heat, stir in the rose water, if using. Divide the mixture between four bowls and enjoy.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To reheat, place in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on low for 1 to 2 minutes. Or, place on the stovetop on low for 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
