Hi! I’m Leanne, Functional Medicine Practitioner, Holistic Nutritionist and Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist (RHN FBCS) – what does this mean? Blood work is the testing of the cells in your body. It’s the most intricate (and also least expensive) way to check up on your health. Problem is, when you go to your doctor and view the blood work with them, they’re viewing the results diagnostically.

I help bridge that gap – by looking at your blood work functionally, seeing where we can shift your diet & lifestyle to support the shift your cells need to perform their best. Common functional patterns we can see from blood work include chemical/toxin load, parasites, low stomach acid, biliary/liver support, stress, nutrient needs, MCA, protein need, gut dysbiosis, low vitality… and so many more. Many of these these are undiagnosable. You just feel… bad, and your doctor doesn’t know why.
Since graduating from nutrition school in 2008, I’ve been on a quest to find answers that move the needle for people struggling to get a handle on their health. This is why I started Healthful Pursuit – a blog that; since its inception in 2010, has been dedicated to delivering health information that goes against the common diagnostic narrative.
I’m always seeking the best ways to care for myself and my clients. So, in 2014 when I found the keto diet and used it to get my period back after 8 years of amenorrhea, I delved deep into the benefits of a high-fat diet to heal hormone dysregulation.
With keto at the forefront, I immediately set out on a path to help others find the same success. My first online nutrition program The Keto Beginning launched in October 2014, Fat Fueled in November 2015 and Happy Keto Body in April 2018, in addition to my 3 paperback books.

I gained worldwide recognition for my unique “no-limits”, paleo-friendly approach to the keto lifestyle in 2015 with the launch of my YouTube channel, which provides daily motivation tips, recipes, advice for getting started with keto, maintenance plans, and help to overcome hurdles.
Come 2022, keto had helped me get off ADD meds, heal my relationship to food and my body, menstruate and ovulate when no doctor said I would… the list goes on.
It was then that I started delving deeper and deeper into functional wellness. Healthful Pursuit became more and more dedicated to seeking answers on the fringes of the health space. We started talking more and more about nervous system regulation, body recomposition, blood work patterns, oral health, drainage pathways, mold, parasites, menopause in conjunction with setting the macros that work best for your body.
I help people create the life they deserve and assist them on their journey by providing daily actions that create measurable results. I wholeheartedly believe that you can replace your struggles, restrictions, and deprivations with kindness, radiance, and pleasure.
