I love enjoying food. Like, taking my time preparing a bunch of different sides, salads and entree options with not a care in the world. Like, sitting leisurely as I pick away at my plate. Like, indulging in a simple dessert with absolutely no guilt.

You know that unsettling feeling that you get when you’ve been away from home for awhile? You may enjoy where you are, but deep down you long to slide into your favorite pair of sweatpants, cuddle up on your couch and do nothing but watch sunbeams dance across the floor?
I always thought that a green smoothie had to be made with juice or milk. That it had to be sweet, thick and filling. And, because of the loads of healthy fats and protein, that a green smoothie just couldn’t be less than 300 calories.
I went through this crazy taco salad phase a couple of months ago, right around my 27th birthday. No matter what I prepared for dinner, what marvelous things I baked for the blog, or the fabulous meals we enjoyed at restaurants, all I felt like eating was taco salad.
