My Mom begged me to get a vacuum sealer, said it would change the way I prepared meals. After a year of recommending I get one, I finally took the plunge and; as Mom’s usually are, she was right!
When I get a bunch of healthy meats I unpack them, divide them among smaller bags along with a marinade and vegetable of choice, then seal them and freeze them, making meal prep a breeze! When ready to enjoy, I defost, add to my pressure cooker, and the rest is history.
The sealer works with both moist foods (like marinaded chicken) and dry foods (like nuts, seeds, or granola). The only thing I don’t love about it is the use of plastic, so I’m careful to wash the bags and reuse a bunch of times before having to recycle them.
