Feeling connected to my body and sailing are two topics that might seem like they have absolutely nothing in common at first glance. As it turns out, the initial learning stages are weirdly similar in both instances: it’s all about being a newbie and just feeling things out.
Learning anything new is difficult and messy; in order to move forward, you’ve got to humble yourself a bit and get comfortable with not being the expert. Making mistakes can be painful, but those mistakes are part of the process, and often where we find our greatest lessons.
