I want...

Dense and moist paleo brownies with a crisp exterior and fudgy interior. Made with cassava and boosted with greens+ powder… in your blender!
I’ve been receiving requests for carb-up brownies – a treat for the end of the day when practicing a carb-up. Because I already have so many dessert recipes that use alternative sweeteners and ingredients, I added sugar to this recipe and went all out with the frosting. While going to town on the sugar isn’t something I do for every carb-up, if we’re having friends over for dinner, it sure is nice to share a brownie with them and feel good about it!

I'm ready! If you want a sugar-free brownie recipe that’s also free of eggs and suitable for a high-fat eating style, my Fudge-Tastic Brownies are fabulous.
Fellow Canadian company, Genuine Health and I are teaming up this Fall for another round of delicious recipes and giveaways. Remember the Dairy-free Fat Bomb Truffles from earlier this year? Genuine Health and I are aligned in so many ways that deciding to partner up during the latter part of the year felt so, so right. We have some delicious recipes planned for you, including a recipe for S’more Waffles during the holiday season.
All of our features will be focused on boosting the nutrients in everyday recipes.
And our time together begins with these greens+ O brownies with a serving of greens in every square!
The O in Vegan greens+ O is for “organic”. Wheat-free, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free. Because the mixture is made with spirulina instead of cereal grasses, it’s one of the only greens powders on the market that’s safe for those with gluten sensitivities.
Each scoop of Vegan greens+ O contains a powerful combination of detoxification-encouraging greens (spirulina, broccoli, spinach, alfalfa grass, and chlorella), immune-supporting acerola berries, thyroid balancing dulse, and ingredients that help to boost our overall nutrient intake to encourage healing and balancing.
And that’s what it’s really about. Instead of looking at my plate and thinking, “how little can I eat to get me by?” Now, I think, “how many nutrients can I possibly get into my body without bursting at the seams?” And greens+ O helps to get me there. Starting with these green brownies.
Have a brownie and feel good about it.

These greens+ brownies are a perfect treat for your carb-up evening, if you have a carb-up practice. I chose to use maple syrup because it has a higher amount of glucose than other sugars and will replenish glycogen stores nicely! While going to town on the sugar isn’t something I do with every carb-up, it’s nice to indulge in a treat that’s still going to make my body feel good – no grains, no dairy, no nuts.
Enjoy!
